What is an excellent remedy for headache?
My friend of mine often had a headache. She is 21 years old, small figure and usually works more than 10 hours a day because of load of works. She works in the office and rarely do exercise. Could it be a migraine?

The best way to prevent a headache is to drink a lot of water.
Caffeine also reduces headaches because it increases bloodlfow.
some time of diet is neccessary for this
Headache treatment often depends on the type, the severity, and the frequency of occurrence. In many cases, tension headache can be effectively treated using conservative measures, such as lifestyle modifications (e.g., improvements in diet and sleep patterns) and over-the-counter pain relievers (e.g., acetaminophen, ibuprofen).
I think if she had a migraine she would know it. Normally you can’t see straight and you can’t think straight. But sometimes caffine works if its a headache, and you can use pressure points. One pressure point is right between your thumb and your index finger (the skin that attaches them) if you ask someone to pinch that area hard so you can feel it in your nerve endings, your doing it right. Just hold it there for about a minute, and she should feel better if it worked. This doesn’t work for everyone though, most people.
Depends on the cause. You can try rubbing your temples in a circular motion which relieves some headaches. (try first one way then the other to see which one helps more).
Try pinching the skin between your thumb and forefinger (about an inch in from where they meet. Hold it for a few minutes.
Take an Aleve (not tylonol) or excedrin or other pain killer.
Get your eyes checked.
Stop drinking booze.
lie down with your eyes closed in a darkened room.
Good luck
If theres nausea and sensitivity to light and sound, it could be a migraine. I used to get migraines constantly, but a change in diet helped curb them. I had to cut out a lot of dairy products. boo =-( I wasnt happy about that haha
Caffeine helps. A soda or something like green tea. Excedrin migraine works wonders, I swear by it. If she can escape from work for a bit, just turn off the lights and keep her eyes closed with her head down (maybe on her desk) may help ease the pain. If the headaches are persistent though, I would see a doctor and get some licensed input =-]
IT SEEMS,THAT HER HEADACHE COMES FROM STRESSFUL EVENTS AT WORK.MY SUGGESTION IS,FOR HER TO TAKE THINGS AT WORK A LITTLE SLOWER.ONCE SHE GETS HOME SOAK IN A NICE WARM BATH.PLAY SOME MUSIC(SOMETHING TO DISTRACT HER FROM THINKING OF WORK)AND HAVE A GLASS OF WINE…IT WORKS FOR MY WIFE—GOOD LUCK
Head On applied directly to your forehead

good, now did that take care of your headache
Your friend is over-working herself and as such she is giving a lot of pressure on her brains. The brains needs time to rest.
Tell her to slow down or else she will over-turn. I recommend her for 8-7 hrs work time !
Sounds like a tension headache, and not necessarily a migraine. She should see a doctor to have her eyes checked to rule out a problem with her vision and help reduce eye strain. Make sure that she is drinking enough water and having some caffeine, but not too much. She can treat the headache occasionally with some Tylenol, but should be aware that if used too long she could have a rebound headache when she stops taking the Tylenol. The best preventative is for her to get some exercise to help relieve the stress in her life. Even just getting up from her desk and walking around the building for five minutes every few hours will help.
Excedrine Migraine………it has caffeine in it ,it works well for me.Ive tried prescription meds that made me tired and didn’t work
She should go to the doctor. Meanwhile, she can use an ice pack. I also use Head On - apply directly to the forehead:)
drinking tea
time is one factor: often you get stressed by having the headache which means you cannot get rid of it. If you can, do something which is relatively distacting. If it involves natural light, open air and natural souinds all the better. I only get headaches for the last 3 years when I have to sit with all the computers in the office, doing nothing else and the coffee can’t be helping me…
Medically, if ibuprofen etc don’t work for you either then ask your doctor. Personally I’ll take a couple of aspirin once or twice a year when I have to and I trust them, unlike ibu which makes me feel it all too much!
there are many common triggers for headaches and migraines:
alcohol
sugar
caffeine (in excess)
stress
lack of sleep
dehydration
hunger
smoking
menstruation
i would recommend drinking a lot of water, taking breaks while at work (does she work at a computer screen? eyesight can also trigger headaches) i would also recommend keeping a headache journal, this will help determine what triggers may or may not affect her and she can learn what to stay away from. i doubt she has migraines because if she did she probably would have gone to the doctor already, you can’t suffer from them and not try to do anything, they are unbearable, not at all like a normal headache. i wish her the best of luck and hope she feels better soon!
I am constantly getting migraines, and so what I do is I usually eat/drink anything with a lot of sugar in it and take tylenol. Any other type of pain killer never works on me.
