What is the best remedy for a sinus headache?
I have tried alot of different OTC meds, could anyone tell me which medication works the best?

I use TYLENOL for sinus medicine but I find that antihistamines
CHLOR-TRIPOLON® work best and are fast acting.

These are generally used for allergies but, as I’ve discovered, many sinus headaches are caused by allergies, in particular HAY FEVER.

We all need to find what works best for us personally. I find that Excedrin, some ibuprofin, saline nose drops and plenty of fresh air does the trick for me. Saline nose drops are the best!
the best thing that helps me is Exedrin Tension aspirins.Within 30 minutes it should be gone ..good luck.
Over the counter Mucinex has always worked well for me. I get sinus headaches when my sinuses can’t drain properly and Mucinex is an expectorant which loosens the mucus and helps get it out. Its actually for chest congestion but my family doctor recommended it for my sinuses and it really helps. That and a hot shower help me.

ADVIL SINUS WORKS WELL - BUT I FIND IBUPROFIN OF ANY KIND MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE FROM TYLENOL WHEN IT COMES TO SINUS HEADACHES…AN ICE PACK OR A HOT SHOWER ON THE BACK OF YOUR NECK ALSO HELPS!
A hammer and nail! Just kidding! I know how you feel, some times I wish some one would KO me so I wouldn’t have to deal with them.
This is going to sound wired but it works! Get a cold compress and lay it across your face and “walk” your fingers, pressing hard, on your sinuses. This will help break up the pressure.
The next thing you can do, again wired, is to press on the pressure point on your foot. Place your thumb in between your big toe and the next toe. You will have to move your thumb around a little bit because I can’t show you in person, but once you find it you will know, the best place to start pressing is just to the rt. and at the base of your big toe. Remember to press as has hard as you can, it will hurt like hell, but you will feel so much better and the more you do it the less you’ll have them.
For regular headaches their is another pressure point in your hand. The meaty part between your thumb and index finger. It works great too.

Usually when I have a sinus headache, it’s because I have a sinus infection going on too. You may have to visit your doctor, because it make take more than over-counter meds to clear it up.

Most over the counter medicines have the same basic ingredients in them. Sudafed is a fast-acting decongestant but using it too often can lead to what’s called rebound congestion. That is the problem clears up at first but comes back worse. Over the counter nasal sprays can cause the same problem. You would be better off checking with a doctor to find out exactly why you keep getting sinus headaches. If it’s caused by congestion from an allergy, there are some really good allergy pills. Claritin and Aerius are a couple plus they’re non-drowsy. Benadryl is very fast acting and works great but it can cause drowsiness. Prescripion nasal sprays can help a lot too. Nasonex and Flonase are two good ones. They work by keeping the nasal passages open thus allowing the sinuses to drain properly and avoiding sinus headaches.
